Anything worth doing in EA on bank holiday weekend?

Is there?

I have two small children, and a wife to entertain over the weekend. Is there anything/anywhere worth visiting in East Anglia, South Lincs, North Cambs etcs nearish to Peterborough?

Can't find anything remotely interesting in the region, car wise or anything else.

Yes, kids'll love this one....Snetterton 25th/26th Truck racing! (Along with other races and entertainment). Give their website a look.

Was going to say Andy, if you fancy coming down to sunny Southend-on-Sea, we have the Italian Festival on with some lovely Alfa's on display

That's 230miles round trip. Touch far, especially with small ones.

Would have been nice day out though I reckon.

Awesome idea, but again, 168 miles round trip. Bank holiday weekend, looking at 4+ hours in the car with small children who have huuuuge lungs on them.

Anything nearer?

Any good banger Circuits in your neck of the woods? That is fun & thrills for all. We have Mildenhall stadium, but again a tad too far for you.

If you, or anyone else, is interested, you could try this: Monday 26th August- Props and Pistons - Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre on Bank Holiday Monday. There's loads of exotic cars on display as well, including several Alfas.

Oooo. I like.

I shall throw that suggestion at my dearly beloved and I shall see if it sticks!

It would appear my lack of early suggestions has resulted in wifely booking.

We are going here

http://www.grimsthorpefestival.co.uk/

Seems like it'll be fun.

Wow, that looks even better! Further away for me, but I'll run it by SWMBO.
