It was designed in Coventry.

is that on a 504/5 chassis? I kinda like it, for an eighties car. And not run of the mill either.

But built (briefly, before everyone realised what a terrible idea it was) in France under the watchful eye of PSA.

Junk when new, and even more junk now.

And it is ugly.

Seriously uncool.

Ahhhh ... a blast from the past from my childhood NEC / Earl's Court Motor Show days! Those angular, chiselled lines are very late 70's ... so by the time it came out it got quickly out of date, always looked like a 70's Tatra to me. It was a totally uninspiring car to drive. Still, it does have a certain 80's kitsch charm about it now (velour seats...!), especially as there's probably only about 3 left in the UK now. You could get it with the Douvrin V6 as well......

Wikepedia says only 20,000 were built (I'm surprised there were that many) compared to 115,00 Peugeot 505's. Enough said.

Give me a comparative Citroen CX over it anyday..... now THAT'S a cool car & looks great even now. Or another competitor (though more expensive) - the Alfa 6...????

It's so angular it makes the Volvo 760 look like a boy-racer.

I'm not saying i like it, and i'm not voting it cool, but i am quite drawn to it even though it's probably terrible. Maybe I feel sorry for it. It's like a vision of the future that never came to be. I can imagine it in a corner, dreams unrealised, sobbing, 'but 1980 was meant to be my turn.' I bet that secretly it hates the 1982 Audi 100

I keep going to write something nasty then looking at the pic again, its growing on me every time I do! The Talbot Sunbeam was a decent car from this era so I'm gonna give it a cool...

...crap, I cant do it, it looks like an FSO!!

Those doors do look like they'd fit the least popular series of Range Rover, with which it probably shares some of its designers..

That was ugly then and has managed to still preserve its looks after all these years.

Seriously uncool.

+ Big, unusual piece of 80's "style".
- Its looks guaranteed it sold in the dozens.

All great but it was designed by Stevie Wonder.

Hideous.

There are definite P38/Metrocab styling touches here and there.
