What engine has it got in in? That vent at the back has me worried it's got some crappy Beetle engine in it like the Carmen Ghia.

Pretty thing though. I'm a little disappointed, I only came on to the thread to make an APALling pun.

If I recollect EiSiF has an "innocent whistle" smiley....

Still, could be worse, it could be plastic....

The Apal Coupé was produced from 1961 till 1965 and featured a glass-fibre body on a VW Beetle chassis.

Office Chair.

It seems maybe the colour and wheels make a difference, well at least to me.
The top image is rather attractive and I like the bottom one too. The rest I'm not too sure about.
That pinky purple thing has to be a kit car. An ugly thing even it's mother would not like surely?

If you own the top or bottom one then it is 'cool' however that pinky purple one looks S H I T.

Fair point, but given it's a crappy lawnmower engined thing, I couldn't bring myself to care.

Based on a Beetle? Doesn't get much uncooler than that. Only worse if it's American

It's not horrible but it isn't cool. I disagree with Elvis. It does look like a 50 year old low volume or kit car. There are hints of Gawd knows how many other cars all over the place to the extent it doesn't look original or very cohesive from some angles.

And it's an asthmatic Beetle in drag.

Uncool for me.

+ sporty looking
- all show no go.

Not that bad looking, but hard to see what could be worse than a car made of glass-fibre, and based on the VW Beetle chassis – even powered by the VW Beetle 1200 engine.
Even the rims are obviously from VW (all though those were almost identical to Porsche rims back then).

Seriously uncool for me.-
