Ford Torino King Cobra

Stillborn 200mph+ racing car intended to be the mainstay of Ford's NASCAR challenge at the outset of the 70's...... Aerodynamically not-right, timing all-wrong.

But what do you think - would you be cool if you rolled up in something that looked like this, sounded like this, and could go like this?

Yuck!

One from last pic makes me think of an SS1 that sodomised a bond bug. Too big front wheel arches and covering the wheels at the back. From the back it looks like it has no front, and from the front it looks like it has no back.

Apart from that, the stripes, the inset headlights and front indicators and an arse off a pick-up it's only mildly vile.

Ghastly. If you gave me 7.5 litres to play with, I'd come up with more than 370bhp too

The standard Torino is a great looking car. Interesting period piece but not cool. Had it lapped at a trillion miles an hour like the Mopar equivalents, it would be cool.

Seriously uncool.

I can't see how it works on any level as far as the cool wall is concerned.

+ Big engine
- 7 foot of bonnet fails to disguise disastrous design.

You couldn't have in 1970 because you weren't born.
