Fantastic, versatile and compact. In the same way that an iPhone is cool for what it does rather than the phone itself the Multipla facilitates what you need a car for. It's not longer lower wider but that's just vanity.

What a wonderfully clever piece of stupendously uncool design.

Do you buy a car for yourself or your neighbours?
I don't get your point.

cool.

It does what it needs to do very well indeed, but that compromised the styling. So rather than water it down and churn out something tedious, Fiat made it look nuts. Very clever inside, very quirky out. Possibly the most fun and visually intriguing MPV to date. I think it looks 'friendly/jolly'; a place you'd be happy to be in with your family. Which is quite important for an MPV

By oh God, the facelift!

Clearly.

Think about it in the context of what makes something cool and I'm sure you'll work it out.

I'm stunned that 3/6 votes are cool. I'm sure some are mistaking interesting or unusual for cool.

You obviously failed to understand my observation that it's what something can do for you that is cool.
You won't be impressed by the switches and buttons on an iPhone but the context is cool. You want to go somewhere with a group of friends in a compact car you can see out of and has good ingress egress you don't take a couple of coupes.... The journey is the app.

I'm still going cool, Jim

The Multipla's got the kind of face/quirk that lends itself to a major part in a slighty wacky comedy.

I understand your observation. You think piling a load of sweaty mates into a compact car with easy access is the epitome of cool. Sounds like a cab or a minibus would do the job better.

And look! We could load a wardrobe in it too!

Your neighbours or the hot young girl at work won't think it's cool. They'll think it's an ugly, sensible middle aged family car.

Go for it g.

Laughing is cool. Being laughed at driving one possibly less so but I respect all opinions.

I'd prefer they weren't sweaty mates. Being able to all travel in one car and keep talking is much more sociable. Our neighbours know our other two cars get used less for some stuff. We can't get four of us and our bicycles in the other cars!

A spanner is useful, they arnt cool.

The multipla is so ugly some people have become fond of it, likely through feeling sorry for it.

It is most definitely not a cool car.

Innovative, cleverly packaged MPV

It was doing well until the MPV part. Sadly, however useful it may be, it is nothing but seriously uncool

It's a very sensible vehicle. Is there any more damning praise on the cool wall ?

I think the wilful disregard for conventional 'style' makes it cool.

I love these.

I don't think the car is cool but I think owning one is. I love its cheery two-fingered salute to convention. I love that just about every other people mover is a box or blob on wheels but Fiat gave the world this. It's a car people who couldn't give two hoots about the opinions of others.

Spanners are most definitely cool. People who build cars, buildings, planes, rockets, space shuttles, motorbikes, speedboats, bridges and steam engines use spanners.

Seriously uncool.

Sacrifice all driving ambition to the gods of practicality. Take the result to the top of the ugly tree and throw it off making sure it hits all the branches on the way down.
