I partially agree however I've just been through this topic on FaecesBook.
It's not a computer that designs
the cars yet, computers in that respect in industry have not changed since 1970. They are not self aware, they cannot design anything, zilch, zero and nowt.
They are told what to do by the programmer and (in this case) the designer. The man or woman using the computer as an aid (like I/we did on the drawing board) to design the car or product. It's a tool like the drawing board (though far more dynamic) and it's the designer that designs the car.
The clue is in the name Computer Aided
Design. What has changed is our knowledge and particularly safety. Today both occupants and pedestrians are far, far better off than they ever were, it just so happens for us old fuddy duddy farts, new designs don't move us or remind us of the past.
I'm an exception because I love modern cars as much as old. These SUV's are boring and sheite to behold however
. There is an exception in the form of Range Rover's, I know some are footballers cars but I love them, the rest just wish.
