Honda CR-V

Specially for you CR-V drivers

Not the most exciting of cars, too many variations and models to comment on. Launched in 1995 and currently in its 4th generation.

Started out like most 4x4's of the time, fairly agricultural and boxy and steadily gets more "soft". They have got better looking with age, but the current version doesn't look great from the rear.

It has a couple of note worthy points - It seems to be produced in more countries than I've seen on most other normal cars, being built in Japan, Malaysia, Indonesia, China, UK, USA, Canada, Mexico, Thailand and India. Also it has managed to increase in sales volumes every year bar one since launch, which is impressive.

At least it won't be spoiling a classier driveway while he owns it.

If I had the misfortune to own one of those, I'd take the wheels off and keep chickens in it. How anybody can even consider a boring Japanese box as cool is way beyond me!

My other half owns one and blocks the GTA in the garage with it, which by definition makes it uncool

It has a certain 4WD down-sizing budget chic.
Not the new ones though.

Cool? No. But only just. If it was a shonky king-cab pick-up it
might be able to edge into cool...

What's cool about mine is it cost what my mate paid in two months on his cars payment plan. It's all I need. I earn more than him. My money is doing other things. My ego is null.

That's cool.

Also..........I can fix the thing. :tum:

Sorry but I had to compose myself for a minute or three.

It could only be less uncool if someone fitted one of kb's favourite inverted snow shovel aero aids at the back.

+ popular, reliable, spacious hacks that can be had apparently for less than EiF's mate pays out in two months on something newer with working windows.
- they're not that big or clever. kb and SiE have them.

Yes but you being useless is hardly the car's fault.
