Ferrari 348

We havenít had a Fezza in a while. Here is the 348, a car that no one can deny has a certain look to it though not very much appreciated by the Ferrari collectors and whatnot. Reliability? Who cares, the question is: is it cool?

I don't think it is very cool. I love Ferrari and i will defend them to the death, but I'd struggle with this one. It looks very dated, extremely 80s, every time i see one on the road or in the classifieds it's either a TS targa top or a Spider and open top Ferraris are a big no no.

Add all the above to a strong rumour that it is dynamically flawed, I really can't see any way that this car is anywhere near being even remotely cool

For me certainly, when compared to her indoors tin box.

Saw an Enzo the other day in Knutsford. First time I've seen one in the flesh I think.

Looked awful. Like the worst kind of plastic kit car. Unless of course it really was a kit car replica. But it sounded the part.

Nothing Italian

Very few Ferraris are cool. Most are distinctly uncool. This one follows the herd. Not cool.

Rule 3 (or was it 2) of Keithyboy's rules of the cool wall - supercars aren't cool. Supercars from the early 90s that have aged really badly and have more than a whiff of MR2 based replica about them really aren't cool.

I'd like a rough, scabby 308 in a bad colour

Of course it's cool. It's an older Ferrari and a very distinctive one. I'm not exactly a big fan of the cheese grater side strakes and rear light cover, but I do think that makes it cool.

It also has no girly driving aids, no power steering, not sure about ABS but I'm sure the early TB's and TS's did not. GTB and GTS (last ones produced) might have had.

I'd have said Super cool but unless it's an ancient Ferrari it'll never be super cool.

Tuffers also agrees

I think it is what it is, extraordinarily cool for its era and should be appreciated as such.

There is no doubt in my mind that it would have looked the s*** prowling up and down, pretending you were in Miami Vice. Something that is an incarnation of its era rather than being a standalone classic design is by no means a bad thing sometimes I think.

Neither of those are me. I think Tuffers was a live photoshop though. I did not recognise him

Anyway the GT was definitely there and definitely mine.

+ older Ferrari, with strakes!.

- Not old enough to be valuable , still looks too new to be cool, too old to be new, and allegedly a meh drive. You'd look a cheap knob in one. That's as uncool as can be.

Funnily enough, the newer 355 is cooler. Go figure. Don't get too excited Malcolm. We know who you are but the car is a bit cool.

Not the coolest. Made worse by the choice of image: French number-plate (Not even a cool department like 06) and **** yellow headlamps.

Whilst I've never driven one I do believe from many that have, that it's a different car to what people are lead to believe. Some of that maybe the fact that they've bought one. However Montezemolo was the person whom branded it a bad car. You also have to remember that it was the last car Enzo had any say in. He died just before it was released.
One last thing, owners on the odd occasion might buy them because they are one of the cheapest Ferraris but they are not cheap to maintain so I firmly believe they go into that in most cases with their eyes wide open and as such don't say they're good just because they bought one. I mean even though it is a Ferrari and for some that means something, you would not buy a car that was really that bad. I'm pretty sure it's not.

I'm not. A right POS an F355, especially yellow, I mean yellow Ferrari Why?
Expensive maintenance..

Mine has gone nada, zilch. I'm technically Ferrariless.

I'm not going anywhere, I'm just going.
Statements above are all my own opinion and not fact.

I like yellow.

More pertinently, what's occurred? I thought you weren't going to sell?
