Maserati Shamal

This is a favourite car of mine I must say. Marcello Gandini styling over a much reworked biturbo frame and engine, with 320hp power output and weight distribution that felt, on wet surfaces, like a 10-90

A car that was on par performance wise with the Ferrari F355 but without modern amentiies such as ABS Only 369 ever produced.

But is it cool?

Absolute beast , what a beauty !

I had admired these for ages , it was on my shopping list some years ago now but due to many reasons I ended up with a 3200 GT .

I would still love to own one but this looks very difficult due to the scarcity

The centre picture with the darker multi spokes is simply stunning (something about multi spokes on Italian machinery !)

Never did it for me, looked more Japanese or American in styling I thought.

Nothing a matter with a bit of wind !

But in the wrong colour, with the wrong wheels, it doesn't have the same appeal (probably true for quite a few cars). Even in photo 1 with the weaker wheels it doesn't have the same presence.

There are some awkward looking areas. For instance, the squared off rear arches and the clunky B pillar. It's a design of its time though, and that boxiness was de rigeur.

It's different to so much of what you might consider its competitors , a bit of a snapper by reputation, not perhaps the ultimate drive. And is a Maserati.

Got to be cool.

It's a Maserati.

Temperature scale only heads one way with most of their models.

Cool to Ice Cold Cool.

All of which don't look good, however...
