Serious ironmongery here. 2dr - bigger than a house.

6.75 V8 twin-turbo 500+bhp and almost 800 lb/ft of twist.

0-100 in 11.7 secs

Brash, thrusting, testosterone fuelled luxury weapon, no it isn't cool, in fact it's the sort of car that will get people giving you two fingers in the street.

Bet it feel fabulous to drive though, I wouldn't be bothered about the fingers.

Incredible that something so bloody huge can move so fast. Much more classy than a Conti GT but still too flash and brash to be cool.

I've got a Client/friend who has one of these, he had it painted the same as his vintage Brooklands, as you do if you've got both... and a DB4, DB7, 1980's Carrera, Alfa 6C, several American classics. Anyway he keeps the new Brooklands in Palm Beach, but it's too big for his garage so one of his Neighbours lets him park it in his garage. They both have their main homes elsewhere in America, so need Gardener to upkeep things while they're away. The Gardener has keys to the garage and one day decides to go for a ride in the Brooklands (this is known because Palm beach is an island and all the bridges have cameras). The Gardener does this a couple of times, each time parking back up. Then one night he decides to get a couple of drug dealers in on the act. Something went wrong which ended up with the gardener being stabbed to death in the Brooklands. I forget how the murderers were caught, but it was en route to Miami.
Luckily he has deep red carpets and deep red leather, pretty blingy, but the luxury of it is just awesome.

GT 3.2 V6 - Q2, KONI FSD & EIBACH PROKIT, GTA REMAP, MICHELLIN PS3's, BMC CDA

No I didn't. There was another forum user called keithyboy who thought it was cool but he was a knob and I never liked him. Thankfully he is no longer registered so we no longer have to put up with his ill-informed opinions.

struggling with this one.

It's got Rover 75 complex; that uneasy mix of modern and retro, odd proportions and old school detail and bling alloys. It's not in my eyes graciously discreet enough to be a sophisticated coupe carriage for the discerning, nor hardcore nuts enough to be a hot coupe. It's in a weird no-man's land, plus it carries a whiff of footballer naff about it.

I really want to like it, but I can't. It's trying too hard to be both of the things it's failing at. Uncool. Sorry!

I would like to say that I've profiled and predicted everything very carefully and I had decided to repost the Brooklands as a means of catching some older folk out, and then winding them up.

But I just didn't do my usual research.

still JIM! KEITHYBOY! Bad dogs! In your bed!
