Impressive maybe, but not cool as such.

The lunar rover, on the other hand...

It's a big, square HGV that hardly moves FFS. Uncool.

The rocket, yes. This just a very big flat bed. On tracks. Rather like a very slow, featureless train.

So, what you are saying is, it's a bit like an Audi?

Except it has its own road instead of thinking it owns it.

My initial thinking was along those lines too, until I discovered that it has twin V16 engines and takes nearly 30 people to drive it!

I had to great good fortune to visit KSC back before safety and paranoia entirely took over, and back then and you could walk up to the thing and touch it. What an impressive bit of kit. In fact, the entire complex is pretty damned impressive really. Amazing what you can achieve with a large percentage of the GDP of a country that size really.

Not been back there for many years, but even then , it had been thoroughly 'Disney-ised' with loads of fake stuff strewn about and very limited access. Shame.

It is built to do a job and it does it well but that's about it.

A bit like a Toyota Auris.

Uncool.
