I'll come right out and state that I think this is a cool car.

It's pretty. It's a great drive. It was a revelation at the time.

It was what many people still want - a stylish, simple, fast-enough and capable car. Bulletproof reliable too.

I like the pop-ups, of course, but I remember that the interior was not a nice place to be.

Unsure.

I rather like Celicas. The older TA22 was cool. This and newer versions are great cars in many ways but not cool.

This were from the days of blue plastic dashboards that were so angular they could have your eye out. I find it moderately appealing but not cool.

Sorry, but it is simply uncool. More than that though, it's just plain nasty. I'd be horribly embarrassed to be seen driving one these days. Why is it Japanese cars have no "style".

The unmistakable smell of American Trousers.

Uncool.

Not the most stylish, but far better than some of the sporty european stuff at the time, so cool.

Wrong, wrong, wrong! How does being "better" make something cool? Irrelevant. Still a good car, better than some, sure. Still uncool.

Better as well as cooler.

Compared to an XR3i or a Astra GTE the Celica was much classier.
