Way, way ahead of it's time. These days we are overrun with plush estate cars (sportwagons, tourings, sports teams etc). Back then they were mostly utilitarian things with compromised styling. That looks fantastic so I'm saying cool.

Whilst I liked the saloon I don't like this. Always looked like an afterthought as apart from the bonnet, which way does it go? though for certain.

Morning All.

Had the use of one of these in the mid-seventies, although when I give it some thought it was the 2.5 Injection 6cyl. version.

Tramped on well but was a thirsty devil!

Cool. As kb said, BL had no idea how good some of its brand equity really was. This is akin to a latter day RS6 Avant. If only they hadn't squandered the value in every brand they touched!

The sedan is cool. This is borderline, and because the poll has another ginormous image, I'm giving it uncool.

oh come on Ben! You can't mark down s car based on SIF's predisposition to massive pictures!

Ford Mondeo :(

Sub zero for me, my father had both the saloon and the estate one after the other. It was these cars I learned to drive in, so they will always have a place in my heart.

Yes I can. I gave him fair warning.
As I mentioned, the wagon would probably have got uncool anyway. Sometimes (Saab 95, Chrysler 300C, Volvo 850 T5-R?) the wagon's cooler than the sedan but not in this case. The styling of the rear is that much worse that I would use the wagon as a donor car for the sedan every time.
