Makes sense in Italian. Maybe. Is it cool?

Its a good job it looks good from behind because thats all you will see of it

Not very pretty from any other angle, looks like a Max Powered 458 and the name is very silly

Stupid, stupid sounding name. Sounds like they sat around all afternoon got stuck and though 'it'll do".

Technological tour de force - check, mahoosive power - check, hybrid tech - check, radical looks - check, stupid price tag - check, invitation only buyers - check, limited numbers all sold out (or will be soon) - check.

Seriously uncool.

You're being up close with one hardly helps it being cool Simon. Sorry.

Having been up close and personal also I noticed the carbon fibre was catching the light as if it had not been cured correctly . However I loved the design theme , even if the carbon was shamed by the Zonda.

Square steering wheel like an Allegro. Nice!

I like the simple wheel design but that's all I like. Hard to imagine how it could be less cool.

Look, i know and you know that they are awesomely brilliant cars. But you drive one about town and 90% of people that you drive past will secretly hate you and want to beat the life out of you. Some will even make their hatred less secretive and spit on your car, or even scratch it when its parked up. Its not a cool car and it never will be

You are very right but its like that with most of the expensive cars. They scratched my spider too. That doesnt mean its uncool

No, it's actually all about money and prestige.....and waving that in people's faces which is why it elicits so much negativity and why it is uncool. You don't get that reaction to a Maserati or Aston which is why, as a general rule, they tend towards cool.

Looks like we've got some entrenched positions on this one, which is fun to read and think about! I have a couple of questions about this:

To those on the "Gaz" side of the fence: First sorry for making Gaz your leader (sure you'll all be happy with that) Question being: Is a 1958 Ferrari GT California uncool just because it is a Ferrari? Because I think that I can see where something showy like the LaFerrari can be put into the "crass and ostentatious nonsense" box, but I think something classy like the GT Calif is totally different.

Those of you in "Shant Ole" town (lucky you): Flip the question on its head. Surely not all Ferraris show passion. Does the Ferrari Mondial rev your particular engine? Because it makes me want to find the designer and do this:

I still think the LaFerrari is cool, but I wouldn't choose to have one over an 8c or Maserati Gran Turismo as I think they have more of the je ne sais quoi that makes up "cool" despite being significantly cheaper and more numerous...

You'll have to trawl all the old polls to find the answer to the first one. But to save you he bother, you'll find that the "Gaz" camp is almost unanimous in agreeing that "old" Ferrari's are actually quite cool but the cut off date differs by individual.

Your last point suggests you get my point from earlier as to why LaFerrari isn't cool even though you think it is.

Don't ever call me camp again

I dont think there is a cut off date for Ferrari to be cool or not. Some old ones are uncool, just as some new ones are cool
