Undecided. Instinctively I feel it is uncool. Funky, young, yes, but is it just a late on the scene attempt at a market already done with more style and panache by other marques? Mini, 500, even the not so smart DS3. I'll come back and vote after a cogitate.

+1. Wannabe 500 though, minus the classless appeal.

They had one on display at Costco and we checked it out, was quite impressed with the general package, finish etc. on a par with the DS3 for options, so have put it as cool, but wouldn't have one ourselves!

I think I'm going to be in the minority here but I'm sticking with my original gut instinct.

I went to the Vauxhall website for more info as I was so unsure earlier. It convinced me it was a TOWIE car. The more I look at it the more forced and incoherent the styling looks. The website is full of pitifully lame yoof affected "style" but none of it seems natural, all of it looks forced, formulaic and false.

Who knows, or cares, how it drives?

And it wears a Vauxhall badge.....

Uncool to the very fringe of seriously uncool.

I said previously that Vauxhall's equivalent of a Fiat 500 should really look like an HA Viva. I saw one of these the other night and it looks OK. However, Vauxhall's dreadful yoof/individual/down with the kidz advertising coupled with a deeply silly name just pushes it into uncool for me.

Spot on uncool for me too. Now a Retro HA Viva makeover might have had some appeal.

Agree totally......very silly name (no offence to anyone on here called Adam)

It worked for the TV Channel 'Men and Motors' when it became 'Dave'.....not so sure it'll work as a car !

Garage
The local Vauxhall garage put a couple of these in our shopping centre, so Mr PG and I were having a look. They look nice, for the money, but it is a bit of a silly name - but no worse than Ka, Ce'ed and Doblo

I saw a poster for one on my way to work this morning which reminded me of the poll and my earlier comments.

A good analogy dawned on me to describe why it isn't cool. It's the equivalent of a made up boy band, an X Factor winner groomed and styled with all the signature touches known from past experience to be a success knocking out cover songs. The older folks might remember the Monkees. Pleasant and inoffensive with some listenable songs and the girls loved them, but they weren't the Beatles or Stones. Same sort of thing here IMO.

A truck just passed me with a dozen mauve ones with cream roofs on it. They didn't look very nice but the blue one at the start of this thread looked nice.
How much are they roughly ??

Just looking on that, and the configurator, you could literally be there for days personalising it and still not have the car you wanted

Nothing in particular. It just isn't especially, nor has it ever been particularly, a cool brand.

Not sure if that s aimed at me or not tbh, but I can't say there's any evidence of "hating" in any of those comments by me or anyone else. It's the Cool Wall and just about opinions. If you don't like certain Alfas, that's fine. If you think some of them are uncool, that's equally your call.
