Steve, you have to ask yourself, is there anything on the planet that can make you look cool?

Only 50% sub-zero, on Alfaowner.com!
This despite only one quite favourable image showing the headlights.

We've got to go sub zero after all this time of being teased! I could make a case for it being uncool just because it's a sports car - but I won't. On balance I do think this is sub zero.

The fact that it's an Alfa is a major plus, obviously; it is small, light, packs a hell of a punch according to the figures and could be an effective track toy while being pretty civilised on the road. It's dramatic enough without being too "shouty". Ordinary people (i.e. non-petrolheads/non-Alfisti) will warm to it. High tech composition, low-ish emissions, similar pricing to mass-produced stuff like Caymans but it will be relatively rare. All cool stuff IMHO.

Nostalgia isn't what it used to be.

Jim i like the way you explain the reasons of a car being cool or not

I wanted to say "Sub zero", but that position in my mind only belongs to cars that I will never own unless I win the lottery and move house. It also tends to be for cars with a price tag of 6 digits or more. They are daydreams. Beyond my reach without some massive change in lifestyle. Cars in that list:
Aston Martin DB9
Aston Martin DB5
Alfa Romeo 8C

But if you have a car with a price tag in the mid 5 figure region, it qualifies as "very expensive", but not impossible. By that I mean if we didn't go on a holiday for a few years, cut back on some of the excesses of living, etc, then it is theoretically feasible that I could actually go out and buy a 4C, and that would be
...and a bit like the Top Gear rules, if I buy the car, it can't be sub zero.

My comments are just my words - it's your mind that finds the meaning you want to find.

Cool - If only it had the concept headlights and lines it would be uber.

I can't decide. It's an Alfa so should be cool. I love how it looks too but it is new, a bit expensive aswell (though probably worth every penny).
I really am on the fence. If it was a ten years old car then it would be very cool.

The headlamps are utterly awful, the back window is too small, the wheels are too big in diameter, once again the back bumper is far too fussy, and I'm struggling to see where the front numberplate is likely to go without spoiling the very pretty (apart from the lights) nose.

However, none of that matters. It's an Alfa, it will be far more exclusive and rare than other cars for the same money, it's sub-zero.

96% cool so far. It should be near the top of the board if it keeps this up.

Jim, I'm going to marginally ruin that.
I love this car but it is still a little ostentatious. In a few years it may well be cool.

Why does a car have to be old to become cool?
