It may be the subject of your 38k post Ant but this is no excuse for becoming a comedian!

Seriously uncool and anyone who thinks that veering so far into the ludicrous makes it cool, or because it (or a variant thereof) was a comedy icon in Fools and Horses is deluded.

It is cool because in spite of logic, physics and common sense, it was a common sight on our roads in the 70's, and therefore says something particular about a time and place in our collective conciousness.

The early ones are strangely cute, and the interior strangely sporty.

But then some days I still hanker after a Bond Bug.

I think they reflected a time when cars were relatively sparse on our roads - they were different and represented a left of centre choice for people with less cash...........and they had a unique charm. It's all very well Clarkson rolling them over, but in their place and in their time they were quite, quite British and I'm rather glad they were made.

I like them, see why others do too but that doesn't make them cool.

Quite.

Nostalgia, cuteness, big fan base. OK as far as it goes but no way does it make them cool. Meh!

Awful to look at, awful to drive and with an awful image.

I don't think you could get any less cool TBH.

Not much use if you have an inspection pit either.

Even the Top Gear shenanagins couldnt make this cool. If anything they proved how hideously uncool it really is

It is really a very bad car. Why did they even bother doing it? My old bicycle is better than this

They did it to take advantage of that the fact that those with motorcycle licences could ride/drive 3 wheelers.

So if you had a full bike licence you could drive a Robin without doing a car test.

The only cool one is the Regal supervan 3 driven by Del Boy.

I think Ant's third photo of the red estate is actually a Rialto not a Robin.

It saddens me to know that.

Please tell me I'm wrong. I will never be happier to be proved wrong.
