Nice little shopper for the 'gals' in Onslow Sq. and Knightsbridge, Chelsea, and so on. May get the missus one?

Cooler than the IQ largely due to it not having a Toyota badge

Still anything but cool though

If you are into city cars and like a bit of one upmanship then you can go no further up the scale than this tiny Aston. So, in it's class it must be sub zero.
The only reason for it's existence is to keep the average carbon footprint/emissions average down across the whole range. In addition to that the original idea was to only make them available to buyers of new full size Astons. Not enough buyers took up the oppurtunity and they are for sale now to anyone with enough wedge (who won't care about the car itself anyway).

It's not an Aston even though it's been beautifully refinished by them , only to be left on the street in Chelsea etc. even more upsetting when it gets damaged by parking or vandals . Not mechanically improved.

Aston Martin are happy to put their name to it so that makes it Aston enough to me. For a car meant for city use I doubt there is much that needs to be done to the iQ mechanicals. In any case the family history is irrelevant to the target market, it's just about having the best car of it's type.

Are you high or something? If they put an Alfa badge and leather seats in a Micra would you rush out and buy it?(for an extra 20 grand?)It might be cool like a Gucci handbag, but I'm surprised that men are defending this one..Let the hazing commence!

It serves a useful purpose for the company and yet doesn't harm the iconic brand in any way whatsoever,

You can own an Aston and not worry about the servicing costs

The only problem I can see would be that I'd have to inform her Ladyship that the cockade on my cap would probably stab the roof lining? Plus I would feel a little squirmy sitting outside parked in Jermyn Street just waiting while she shopped.

Yes you can. You can buy a car with better looks and more performance and which is actually designed and made by the company whose name is on it. Even the Alfa Mito, the styling of which I don't really like, fits this description. And the 500 Abarth Tributo Ferrari is not trying as blatantly to pretend to be something it's not.

This tells you all you need to know about how cool Cygnets are.

Yes, but

Of course it does! Not only do Aston Martin no longer sell sports cars exclusively, this new car in their product range is wrong in every way.

Are you telling me someone previously going to buy an Aston is going to change their mind because of Cygnet?

A joke. Maybe they made it to see how many nobbies really do exist out there?

There has to be some kind of tax reason Aston have put their name to it.

Coughing 18,495 for a hand finish would only ever make sense if it were being provided by Megan Fox, not Aston Martin.

Let's say Alfa decided to offset their CO2 by making a 'branded' Honda C70 moped in 8C red - would that be cool?

Is the point here to make people agree with you or for
them to voice their own opinion?

I think the price tag for this was around 40 thousand pounds when i saw it in the Showroom at park lane in April. Thats way than too much for this car

Sorry Mr G, I was under the impression I was being lighthearted. If I have misjudged that I do apologise.
