Jaguar XFR

A saloon with the soul of a sports car. Is it cool?

Gentleman visits a relative who resides here regularly in one. Superbly appointed machine.I'm hoping for a ride in it one day.:

sub zero and i wouldn't normally think that of any Jag made since after the 60's.
It's got presence and a sense of mystery about it , and it's also not an M5!

Nope, not cool. Looks unremarkable and doesn't have any cool factor although it's probably a very competent car. Front end is horrible IMO. Suitable for the older gentleman methinks, at least better than a Mercedes execu-barge.

Cheers,

Nigel

Difficult one. Whilst I am sure it is a capable car and not German that would make it cool. However it looks generic, Insignia looking (I like the look BTW).
This is one of those 'on the fence' ones I'm afraid. I will say cool because it isn't German and there is no middle option

510 bhp, 0-60 in 4.7 secs. A sub zero beast of a car. I refused the chance to sit in the passenger seat while my mate drove a test car from his work. I'm not stupid

Anyway, news says Tata are selling more jags and Range Rovers Etc. than ever before. I'd have one or both if I had that sort of cash.

Cool... Understated and though not been a big fan of recent (Ford-inspired) Jags, I quite like it. If it appeals to the older gentry then old must be starting before middle-age

A Ford Mondeo on steroids. Might as well go to a Casino and watch the money waste before your eyes as with this car.

I like the current Jag rangevery much (no surprise there as there have been very few Jags I haven't liked). I think this one is definitely cool. It's subtle, quick, and makes a brilliant noise (a wonan near me has a white one and seems to drive everywhere in 2nd gear for effect).

Me likey (which probably makes it uncool).

Judging a car like this from pictures is impossible. Up close in real life it oozes class and kerb appeal and as said, the noise it makes (when the exhaust gates open up) is just amazing. Then see it pull away making said noise.......uncool it can never be.

Cool

Although im dissapointed as the one I was chasing the other day on holiday in cumbia couldnt put much power down on corners. Was great on completely straight roads but looked very heavy & wallowy.

I didn't think I still had this picture. Tyre marks done by XFR with traction off.

Subtle, understated. A real Q car capable of humbling many more overtly sporty machines.

Cool, nudging sub zero in the right colour.
