Great car. Couldn't quite afford one when I bought my Octavia a couple of years ago.

It's another of those not cool, not uncool, but in all probability very good, cars.

Just because a car is very good at what it does and is fun to drive, doesn't make it cool. Not caring about being cool or not is not always enough to make something cool. Uncool for me, but very good car.

I rather like these and they're supposed to be very good but I think "just" uncool really.

I've got one on demo next week for MrsJim to try for a few days (perk of my job ) but I think she'll still want a Qashquai.

Probably the best Skoda because it does not compete with another VW group product so they have not been told its too good! Look what they had to do to the "Superb"

Does nothing for me. Unoriginal, bland, doesn't really stand out. I've never been a Skoda fan but readily admit the image (and the cars, having driven a Favorit eek) are much improved. I think they need some better names though Probably somewhere between Uncool and Seriously Uncool in reality.

wake up, peeps;

it is off the scale cool.

its goat-like tenacity will take it anywhere you can't go (which usually means home in the snow) it is unpretentious, has no snob value kudos (which adds to it being cool), and as cars go, it's one of life's realists. It does its job with no faux ******. It's earthy and honest, which is a refreshing change from the kno5y, trashy and naff footballers' wives cars like the X1 and the Evoque.

Right chaps. I've driven the demonstrator home tonight. It's a metallic orange 2.0TDi 4x4 Elegance and it did 49mpg in traffic which is fairly good I guess but it is only 110PS and not awfully big.

It has 12k on it and I have to say I am not impressed with how it seems to wear the miles. The trim looks and feels low rent and there's a scattered randomness about some of the switches.

The seats look saggy already and the leather was originally a light oatmeal colour and now is quite shabbily ingrained. The seats are not uncomfortable but they aren't great and the seating position is cack with very limited adjustment. The boot is quite small too and there's overall less space than I expected. It feels more like one of those boxy Doblo type car/van crossovers that we've hired on holidays than a cool car but more pretensious than those more honest work-horses.

It's a bit naff really. Not impressed at all. Definitely not cool.

Nostalgia isn't what it used to be.

2008-15 New 159Ti experience: overwhelmingly positive. Reliable and fun over nearly 100k.

It's faster than a Ferrari from what I remember. Don't think it is cool but not really uncool. I am going to vote for cool, purely down to it beating that Fezza round Brands Hatch.

Yes but it was a typical piece of contrived TG knockabout. I think it was actually at Donington when half the circuit had been dug up so the old Ferrari had to tip toe around large swathes of it.

Not cool. It's a Skoda, which says I care more about "is it cheap? " than " is it cool? " It may be good off road and cheap, but so is a goat.

It's what she wanted at the time until we tried one. She ended up with a black Mito 135 Distinctive new last September and is very happy with a trouble free 17k on it in just over a year.

Skoda's are

I had a MK1 Octavia vRS some years ago. Properly nice car and re-mapped with a Miltek exhaust meant it was quick too
