Its a car. Just a thing to get you from A to B. We need another option on the votes, maybe a 'neither cool or uncool'

Actually, not bad. I never really noticed. Just shows how utterly undesirable the car is, worthy though it might be. The ultimate failure of coolness, surely?

Maybe so, but its cooler than a 3 series which out-sells it

Aren't you just toying with the margins of uncool? Neither is cool, one has a "better" badge, the other is bigger and better value. Both jostling for position at the wrong end of the cool wall IMO. Who cares?

You'd have to get here early to do that and Gaz smells bacon. Check the layout on Street view - it's a bit tight with the neighbour's low-loaders and bizarrely more cars than people living in their house(s) littered about. You'll have to park Herman the German 25-50m away in all probablity and that's just to stop Al setting fire to it.

It's not cool. It's not meant to be cool. I imagine that, if it's like every other Mundano there's ever been, it'll be nearly as good as similar cars in some respects and better in other respects. It's a car you would buy with your head because it ticks all the practical boxes and is also good to drive.

Uncool in this version, partly because it's seriously uncool in the cheap diesel version everyone will buy. Bad rear visibility in the name of styling, in a Mondeo?

I'm glad the question is whether the car is cool or whatever and that most of the replies give a reasonable answer.

Look at the figures for a 2 litre car , get in it and feel the way it's built, drive it and then form an opinion based on that rather than what you think Clarkson would say. If this had an Alfa badge on it everyone, myself included, would be wetting themselves with excitement. Sadly that blue oval instead of the serpent is what seems to make all the difference.
If I were to own one I'm pretty sure I would think it was sub zero because I've always loved Mondeos from day one (nearly 20 years ago!).

Much as I dislike agreeing with my chunky friend, I reckon he of the fat fingers could be right.

I've always had a soft spot for Mondeos too, having owned two MkIs (both 1.8s) and a MkII (2.5 V6).

I enjoyed owning and driving all of them, and the respect I have for their engineering integrity is immense.

However, the Mondeo (good as it was over the years and still is now) is about as cool as socks with sandals.
