Rolls-Royce Phantom

One of the definitions of luxury. Designed to be great both for the driver and for the passengers. It isolates the lucky ones to ride in it from the rest of the world. But, does it make the Spirit of Ecstasy look cool?

Anything so large and so extravagantly flaunting its opulence and price tag is inherently, seriously uncool.

its a proper luxo-barge and you can try in a 7 series A8 or S class but lets face it if you get chauffeured around in any of those your just advertising the fact you haven't done well enough to get the roller, it is what it is and makes no apologies or compromises for it

IF you are in the market for the ultimate status car, this has to still be the top of the tree. The clock rotating to reveal the screens for the front / rear parking cameras is a typical " old school" Roller touch.

If you want to hoon around and do a drug dealer arrival..... this car is a huge NO NO.
But if you require to waft up and just make the " I have arrived " statement . Yes.

You will never though be low profile in one of these

See them often enough around Chichester on pre delivery test drives. Big ugly things with a front end like a fire place, yuck!

Give enough time and you can pick one up for peanuts though and do weddings at the weekend!

Most rarely get a ride in one, let alone own one, as jack Barclay said when I chauffeured one back when

Got to agree with that, kind of. Its classier and cooler than an equivalent Bentley. But not that classy and not that cool.

Neither cool nor uncool for mine.

A magnificent display of one's fortune but little else.

Apathy would be my immediate reaction.

Too much Hollywood and red carpets thing in it - uncool.

As a machine, full respect.

Its one of those cars that are cool only when they reach certain age - then the enthusiasts start to buy them - making them cool.

while I love discretion, I like the RR a lot. More so now than I did when it was launched.

In the unlikely event I could ever afford one, or to run one, I still don't think I'd buy one...and yet...I do think they're pretty cool as they glide by.

I think BMW have done a good job in capturing the marque.

If I wanted a big luxury car to be chauffeured about in then this beats a Maybach.

The only big luxury car that I think comes close was the Aston Lagonda.

So in my view they're cool
