BMW 850 CSi

This time we have a gorgeous BMW coupe. Regardless of the badge, this car is elegant, sexy and sporty all at the same time. It was a tad on the heavy side, though. However, the 12-cylinder engine did provide more than enough motivation.

Engine: V12
Displacement: 5,576 cc
Power: 372 bhp (277.4 kW) @ 5,300 rpm
Torque: 545 lb·ft @ 4,000 rpm
Aspiration: Natural
Weight: 1,923 kg (4,239 lbs)
Drive: Front-engined, rear-wheel drive
0 - 60 mph: 5.9 seconds
Top speed: 154.9 mph (254.4 km/h)

A mate had one of these a few years back. What a machine.
The power figure is a bit misleading cos these things can pull down buildings. Look at the torque figure.

Christ, stick that thing in D, floor it, and trust me you'll see 155MPH sooner rather than later!

My mate had one too and great car

but it was quite unreliable and expensive to run, the electrics even had the BMW mechanics stumped

The 8 series is a cool car, it hasn't suffered at the hands of the the 'blade' design

It also doesn't have that 'in yer face' attutude, its nice and subtle, and the power it kicks out is phenominal for its time

unfortunately i wouldn't have one though, i'de always be worried that the electric would pack up and render the car useless

I'm wondering if I am on the right forum

1) It's a bee-yem-dubbyah
2) It's slightly heavier than the amoco cadiz
3) It probably handles and stops the same too
4) ...and needs the same amount of oil
5) The red one looks like a calibra
6) The green one looks like a probe...

...yes, that sort of probe!

Come on guys...
