Re: Ford GT40 Mk1 Gulf

Probably the only ford ever to be Sub Zero.

I saw one at a car show a few years back, I tried to sit in but I wouldn't fit. The original drivers must have been pint sized.

Re: Ford GT40 Mk1 Gulf

I have history with this car, my mum back in the seventies used to sell fords in Barrow-in-Furness (Godfrey Davies) on one particular week the 1st and 2nd place gt40's were brought in to promote the show room and I got to sit in both!, couldn't see much as I think i was 5 years old but I did try to make a deposit .

Re: Ford GT40 Mk1 Gulf

uncool........

it was a typical american attitude to a problem, they couldn't buy ferrari so instead they try and smash them in other ways.....

it is an achievement that it won LeMans but Ferrari had and have been doing it for years, once Ford proved their point a few times they took their toys and went back to play on their own, no commitment

i know it has been a movie start and it has won a lot of races, but still i think that there are cooler cars of the same era that achieved more...

Aston Martin DB5/6
E type

and if you were to ask another person you could get another list of cars, the point is its an opinion

Re: Ford GT40 Mk1 Gulf

This is one of the very few cooler cars, although it is a few years older.

And what about this?

I don't agree. It is fairly cool but not sub zero.

Maybe it should have a cool wall slot to decide.

Nope not a cool as the GT40... (well the Aston's are pretty cool ... but only because Mr Bond drove them ) ... all the other cars IMHO have dated whereas the GT40 still looks as fresh today as it did back then ...

However I have a feeling this dicussion will go nowhere as you are obviously completely wrong

The Alfa 33 Stradale? Arguably the most beautiful Alfa of the 60's?

and while I'm at it, can we put it up for nomination?
