Yes, it's cool. If it had the performance to match the looks, it'd be sub-zero.

So close, but not quite the cigar.

Not being funny bud but have you driven one? Most people i know hear the bhp and laugh but the power really doesnt reflect the performance of the car and handling *drool*

I know figures aren't everything, but there's other cars from the same era that put up better numbers, and sacrifice nothing to get them.

Like I said, cool car, but not got that wee bit of special something to push it into sub-zero territory.

the early ones were sud based, inboard brakes, handbrake to the front wheels etc, but the later ones became 33 based with outboard brakes and drums on the back

and either one is magic to drive, with the distinctive boxer overrun soundtrack.

Re: Alfa Romeo Sprint 1.7 QV

The boxer has the best sounding engine only bettered by the Alfa V6

Cool or Sub Zero ??? hard to say really..........I guess Sub Zero coz I loved mine

Actually in the OP thats not the 1.7 interior but a 1.5 Green Cloverleaf...........but IMO thats the best interior and the one I retro fitted into my 1.7

Thumbs Up Re: Alfa Romeo Sprint 1.7 QV

You can't hate these cars.
No small-man-syndrome / midlife crisis image - not enough performance.
No chav image - too rare, hard to keep running and hard to buy chav parts for.
No classic boffin image - that's the Alfasud Sprint with its chrome bumpers. ;p
Sporty, fun-to-drive, cheeky, sounds great, full of character, looks good..
Cool Wall Yardstick Lady, whomever you choose her to be, might not immediately understand the car's appeal but I think it would soon win her over.
For me this was the car that made me need an Alfa Romeo.

My personal favourite version attached.

Boxing Re: Alfa Romeo Sprint 1.7 QV

Got to be Cool - not quite Sub cool as bodykit doesn't actually improve the classic "clean look" - but I am a bit biassed......
However the 6C version is SERIOUSLY SUB ZERO

Re: Alfa Romeo Sprint 1.7 QV

Gorgeous! Really, really miss my old Sprint. It was the car the could always put the biggest smile on my face and the boxer engine sound If I didn't need a car for everyday use, I'd have one again like a shot. Wish Alfa would make another one

Re: Alfa Romeo Sprint 1.7 QV

100% cool. At car at ease with itself, and enjoying what it can do with what it has got. Pretty, perky, cheeky, charming, affordable, and Italian.

Actually, I'm going to say sub-zero.

Re: Alfa Romeo Sprint 1.7 QV

I have always liked the Sprint, but sub zero its not. I think it should have been RWD with a bigger engine but admit as a package they are great cars. Shame they did not produce the 6C as that would be sub zero.
