Re: Nissan 350Z

Not sure it is truely cool but I like it.

Ample power, RWD, a nice V6 and Jap reliability.

May get one when I can afford it.

I can't do tan/beige seats though. It is too old man for a sports car IMO.

I generally love jap cars, but this 'un is uncool IMO. Great car though it definately is, it's just far too middle of the road to be cool.

Re: Nissan 350Z

The seats aren't tan - they are orange (optional "Alezian orange" @ ££&#163.

It's not a sports car; it's a GT with limite luggage capacity.

The spec given by Ant is from the early model.

It's something of a triumph of styling over function.

I prefer my GTA by a long way.

It's more economical than a GTA.

I had one for 12 months - it was OK, sort of cool.

I would be on the same level as Symon. It's not really cool but it is a car I like. I must get a spin in one of the lads 350Z's and see what it is like.

Me too - in the end when it came down to it, I chose my GT over the 350z. Mainly for practical reasons... better to have 2+2 than 2 and better sized boot. (Am I admitting I bought an Alfa with my head over heart!).

I drove the latest engine (2007-2008), which is:
VQ35HR 3.5 L (210 cu in) V6
306 bhp (228 kW) at 6,800 rpm
268 ftlbf (363 Nm) at 4,800 rpm

It was an amazing drive and I was tempted to get the roadster too. I drove bouth coupe and roadster - it was a gem to drive and felt amazing. But the really low fuel economy, higher cost and small boot space put me off in the end. Though I flipped back and forth a few times this time last year when I was looking to buy.

I agree that Alfas are more beautiful, but I have to say that after driving them, 350zs are super cool. A real driver's car - you feel in total control despite the power at your fingertips.

As Alfa156Male said, I can't wait for the 370z to come out either. It would definitely be worth a test drive.

If you get the opportunity to drive both of them, I think you'll agree
Although the Honda is a nice car the Nissan is soo much more

I have driven both... it was one of the earlier 350's..but it didnt impress me at all, its not fast for a 3.5 litre car and i just didnt like the whole feel of the car...the s2k on the other hand... revs like hell, goes like hell for a 2ltre and the car handles soooo well.... its just awesome!!! only one jap car i would take over the s2k... the 3rd gen Mazda RX-7....NOW THATS A CAR!!!
