I agree with this.

I do like it, but it is just not as right as it could have been.

The concept version looked better as it was lower and sleeker.

Re: Alfa Romeo Brera S

Sub zero in my opinion, the front end just does it for me and it's an Alfa

As with so many Alfas right at the moment I really want to like it more than I actually like it.

Not really cool.

Re: Alfa Romeo Brera S

The Brera is a Marmite car. Some like it, some dont, and some grow to like it after a while. For me, it's the best looking Alfa (after the 8C of course, before anyone says anything) on the market. I like it's bulbous rear and aggressive stance. And seeing one up close is always a jaw dropping experience. I will own one, one day.

Re: Alfa Romeo Brera S

Sub zero for me. Love the Brera. In todays Eurobox-everything-looks-the-same world I think it's one of the most eye catching shapes on the road.

I really want one - but I need 4 doors.....

Re: Alfa Romeo Brera S

It's cool, just. Doesn't perform as well as it should, and the back end is just wrong.

It's almost so right. and yet almost so wrong at the same time.

Re: Alfa Romeo Brera S

It's sub zero in all the snaps apart from the one with the rear. It's a bit like a demented 159 really, it should have a 159 rear end i say. But then it would just be a 159 really with 2 doors instead of 4,

Re: Alfa Romeo Brera S

only cool unfortunately. re the back end, if you look at one from dead centre right behind, its a gorgeous arse, otherwise it just looks good.

thats just the Brera in general though, as for the S, as much as i respect it, i am a bit undecided. why didnt alfa make it like this in the first place? why doesnt it have the open glass roof? why no 4WD option (something to do with the prodrive tweaks?) its a bit like alfa romeo admitting they f*cked it up in the first place and got someone else in to sort the mess out.

cool, but not as cool as a proper Brera

Re: Alfa Romeo Brera S

Those horrible S badges tips it from subzero into plain cool.

Still a car that you have to own to realise just how cool
people think it is and how much attention it draws.

No car I've ever owned has turned heads like the Brera
and I'm quite doubtful we'll see a mass market car this good looking
within the next 10-15 years with the way things are going
in the world.

Re: Alfa Romeo Brera S

Beautiful. No doubt about that. But being the latest coupe, beaten on weight and performance even by a certain old estate, it doesn't quite reach the sub region

Re: Alfa Romeo Brera S

Looks: Cool

Performance: Uncool

Love its distinctiveness but could have been even more.

Too heavy and the rear could have been designed slimmer and more in keeping with the car's front end.

Would I own one though?

Yes.

I LOVE the way it looks, but was rather let down by driving it, as a courtesy car, perhaps if I had driven a more powerful model I would have been more impressed......

Re: Alfa Romeo Brera S

Obviously it wasn't a Brera S though, perhaps I should suggest it to the Dealer....

Re: Alfa Romeo Brera S

0-60 in 6.9 ... that is pretty rubbish for a 3.2V6 IMHO ... my tractor could just about "do" one of them

Re: Alfa Romeo Brera S

Sub Zero.

it may not perform well, but thats not the point of the cool wall. This car doesnt have a bad angle. those lights at the back, god, and the front, I think I need a cold shower!

Its like nothing else on the road (besides the Spider!). People will look, and they are as rare as hens teeth in this part of the world. The only one I've seen was at the car show.

I want one! NOW!

There's about as many points of the cool wall as there's AO members - that's the point of it

Ah, well. Now that you put it that way we can't really argue, can we? Fair enough

If there was a semi-sub-zero, it would fit there - I'll give you that.
