Chevrolet Camaro SS

An American icon is being resurrected. Let's hope that fuel prices don't send it to the grave again. And no, there are no leaf springs anywhere to be found, just in case somebody still believes that Alfa Romeos rust.

Torque: 407.p @ 3,500 rpm

Re: Chevrolet Camaro SS

I was into that sort of stuff back in the 70's. I had a '71 Z/28 with a LT1 350 small block for about 8 years. Good fun in it's day. I prefer cars that can go around corners now.

A bit over contrived, far too fussy.

Re: Chevrolet Camaro SS

The original? Sub-Zero.

This one? Cool.

Once again the Americans have pulled out another classic looking modern styled muscle car, along with the new Mustang, Challenger and (Dare I say it as it IS a grower?!) Charger the new Camaro looks stunning.

Re: Chevrolet Camaro SS

I dislike American muscle. I think they are outdated hotrod's of a bygone era that have no place in today's more energy conscious time. They are usually ugly too with technology not seen since a certain chap hoarded a group of animals onto a boat. The Camaro i like, however. It looks like a Skyline that has been stung on the arse by wasp and transforms into a kick-ass robot. Who wouldn't want one of those?

Re: Chevrolet Camaro SS

I like it.
Being too young to know the original muscle cars of the 70's at the time, I grew up with a real liking for the Mustang, Challenger and Charger. Now I get to see a modern take on these cars and I think they all look fantastic. Keeping true to how the cars should look and I imagine when behind the wheel would make you feel just like the originals did 30 odd years ago.

Thumbs Up Re: Chevrolet Camaro SS

I like muscle cars, but most of these modern remakes have boring and budget interiors, e.g. inside of the otherwise-groovy new Dodge Challenger often comes with Chrysler 300C steering wheel.
This Camaro doesn't have that problem.
Check out its tricky ambient LED interior lighting option!

Re: Chevrolet Camaro SS

The 1968-70 Chevrolet Camero and Pontiac Firebird were always one of my favourite designs. This new version does not remind me of the original and looks quite boring and predictable.

The seventies are long gone when are GM going to wake up to the fact?
