Alfa Romeo 156 GTA

Well, I saw a red one (as they should be ) on the road today and figured, screw the random selector we haven't had an Alfa since the first poll, so today's poll is about the sublime Alfa Romeo 156 GTA

PS: I voted sub-zero, of course!

The rediculous thing is there will be people out there who are after a fast saloon and could buy one of these but buy something else instead!

On a similar subject to that, I walked past an R32 in the works car park the other day, so had a chance to peruse it quite deeply.
After doing so, I really couldn't believe that someone after that type of car could possibly go for something so utterly dull looking. It was just terribly, terribly boring to look at. I simply wouldn't be able to make myself own that car.
(It wasn't a current model R32 I don't think, don't ask me which one, I don't really know them that well.)

All GTA's, regardless, are sub zero.

I saw one sat there idling a couple of weeks ago, it didn't sound any different to a 1.8 or 2.0 Golf

Re: Alfa Romeo 156 GTA

Cooler than the 147 GTA IMHO - and the 147 is pretty cool.

Suppose its gotta be Sub-Zero then.

Re: Alfa Romeo 156 GTA

Sub-zero - this car doesn't even try to be cool, it just is what it is and even with its many flaws it still is one of the coolest cars on the road.

Re: Alfa Romeo 156 GTA

Sub Zero. My favorite Alfa apart form the 8C.

The 147 is also good, but I prefer the shape of the 156.

Alfa don't make cars like it anymore.

Re: Alfa Romeo 156 GTA

cool but not as cool as the 147 gta, would be cooler if it wasnt fwd.(fwd isnt automatically a bad thing but on a car with 250bhp as standard and potential for a lot more rwd would have been better)

the 147 gta gets away with being fwd because its a hot hatch and should be fwd, as all true hot hatches are.

Re: Alfa Romeo 156 GTA

This is sub zero for the sum of it's parts. A 3.2 V6 in a FWD car, no diff or trick suspension. Gotta love it for the sheer Italian Lunacy. If it was german they would have given it 10bhp less and 4WD

Re: Alfa Romeo 156 GTA

Cool, but just not special enough to qualify for the sub-zero accolade IMO. 147 GTA the same.
