The more money you throw at something, the less cool it gets.

I like that it's got 12" wheels (though 10s would have been better) and I like the lack of body seams but I hate the rear lights.

"Each handbuilt car is fitted with a touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a four-speaker sound system, keyless-entry, UB connectivity and charging, as well as push-button start and remote central locking."

That, to me, is not what Minis are about. They are about throwing down country lanes at indecent speeds with a massive grin on your face.

For 75k I'd also want something more adventurous than a tuned 1275 under the bonnet.

It's a bit of a trinket so is uncool for that reason.

Auto Express - six issues for a quid. Offer must end soon (and then immediately start up again).

Those rear lights are not good. The price is possibly more a case of what the target customer will pay than the value of the car plus the improvements. A Wood and Picket mini for today , fortunately not Clubman based!

A classic mini is a cool thing in and of itself.

I'd love one, but probably not done like this.

They're still going Wood and Pickett but no sign of de-seaming..

To me all classic minis are sub zero, but this loses points purely on the excessive price.

Personally, and I've said this elsewhere on t'interweb, I couldn't think of a cooler way to blow 75,000 that doesn't involve drugs and hookers

People go mad for these resto-mods. Singer 911s are basically modern 911s with a classic body. Nothing wrong with that? Apart from it being a Porsche, obviously

I agree with some of what has been said above. Not all, but the majority of classic Minis are super cool. What a Mini needs is a bit of modernism. The infotainment (hate that word) is brilliant, the addition of BT and USB is essential in this day and age, given we're all tied to our smartphones. So what this does is make every uncool city berk just a little bit cooler

I think it's a super cool car, rear lights aside. Completely ridiculous price tag and I'd have one in a heartbeat

I hear what you're saying, and I do like the idea, but I wish they had done more to make it mechanically more up to date with maybe a 16v head and a 5-speed.

Office Chair.

It's a ridiculous amount of money.
Minis are great but not 75k great. Mind you it's silly money now for all these 'fast Fords' of yesteryear.

Many classic cars are ridiculously overpriced which is why this is available.
Uncool. Nev said it right up near the top.

The thing with this is I don't think secondhand you would get anything like 75k. Maybe buy one secondhand for 40k

They are working on a 5 speed. I suppose you could spec the engine up however you like, as long as you're prepared to pay for it!

This could have been sub zero if they'd have approached this differently. Still a cool car though

Jack Knight were making them well over 20 years ago but I do not know if they are still made now.

I think JKD went under a long time ago but they were well known for being Mini ‘box specialists. A select few other companies offer a 5 speed box but they ain’t cheap and are nearly all straight cut affairs, so whine aplenty
