Borgward BX7

Old German brand “resurrected” by Foton from China after many years in the graveyard. First model launched was the BX7 a … SUV

So, what do you say?

They've already hired one of the escapee design bosses from declining BMW to make sure they don't have to nick an Audi next time. Anderson Warming was Mini Design boss.

I can see nearly every car in there.

A Lancia Delta, Audi Q5, Nissan Cashcow, Renault Kadjar, Skoda Kodiaq, Infiniti QX 60... the list goes on and on.

It's like the new approach to car design is to try and apply an averaging formula, and add the standard deviation of the design differences to create a false feeling of individuality.

If they sold them at 1/6th the price of an equivalent VAG
(As Xiaomi do for smartphones vs iPhones made in the same country)
I'd think about getting one.

Is it cool? Could be. (Like my Xiaomi Redmi phone )
It is an inoffensive design and It has downsize chic.

But probably not.

Kind of Vagazzled Q5 this time, but under the ex-boss of Mini styling, who knows?

Nothing particularly offensive about it, as said previously, it's a homogenised SUV.

On a serious point, Borgward is based in Bremen and Foton is involved in a joint venture with Mercedes which bases a lot of its production and development in Bremen.
