Excellent cars. With deck chair seats and quirky design, they are great fun. That said, they are as practical as a chocolate kettle. Very cool.

I thought I would like this.

Then I saw the wheeler dealers episode, and I was horrified at the 'roof' apparatus.

It has 2 seats too many.

It's basically a motorised awning. The Moke certainly puts a smile on your face. It's bonkers.

Completely lacking in practicality, Mini oily bits so the driving experience will be a hoot, not even remotely serious. That has to be cool.

Office Chair.

Almost sub-zero. Daftness made cool. Anything Mini based has to be cool.

Waiting for that really crap kit car or such based on a Mini

Cool. Especially if you live in one of those places where the sun shines for 400 days a year, like Jamaica.

Malc, did you mean the Marcos?

I was given a ride in one from the top of the Rock in Gibraltar in 1973, back to the dockyards.

You think you're safe holding onto that metalwork, you're not.

I wish I'd walked, but I was thankful for the lift, I was late for work.

The awning frame seems to imply some nod towards safety which is clearly not a part of the package. I might revert to cool.

No, I like the Marcos. They also built a big one.

I had a toy Mini Marcos but in maroon..

This one looks awkward though...

Full on Marcos is rather nice..

I'm not going anywhere, I'm just going.
Statements above are all my own opinion and not fact.

I rather like the Mini Marcos. It's not pretty but imagine a lighter mini where you still don't get wet when it rains.

Saw one today. f\Faded red with a faded ratty red & white striped canopy.

Nasty.

My Dad used to have a Mini Jem. It was like a Mini Marcos but with an Aston Martin shaped grill.

(This wasn't his one, but it looked similar)

The styling looks pretty horrid these days.

I would imagine if you're over 6' you might have to wrap legs around the neck.

Very cool car. Only a truly cool person would be prepared to drive anything so utterly ridiculous and not care what people think. It's a car to make people who don't do cars smile.
