GTV 3.0L V6

Small Scratch

Hi all

Hoping for some help, car has a small surface scratch (miss clip recycling box pulling off the drive) paint is metallic etna black on a Guilleta.

Picture beloe

Question is it possible to t cut or polish out or best for professional job?

Any advice would be muchly appreciated?

156 JTD 20v

Generally speaking if you can catch the edge of the paint with your finger nail you will need to add paint. If not then it is worth polishing (carefully)

Have a detailer look at it. T-Cut is likely to do more harm than good on modern paint, especially soft paint like that on our cars.

On minor surface scratches, I've used ordinary Colgate toothpaste and the scratches disappear like magic!

That's because it has mild abrasives in it.
I wouldn't recommend it though.
If you're going to attempt to remove the scratch by hand I'd suggest you use Meguiars Ultimate Compound followed by Meguiars Ultimate Polish. Both are available from Halfrauds for around £10 each.
