Not everyones cup of tea

As im rebuilding the car i decided to give the engine bay a theme to be different but keeping the colours matching all round black and red.

Theme for engine bay is Nuclear Reactor , and painting it all by hand.

Here is the plenum / engine cover / Throttle body

That's a lot of thought and TLC gone into it, doesn't matter if it isn't to everyone's taste, anyone should be able to appreciate artistic skill. I'm impressed with the black/red, atomic gases effect.

Not to everyone's taste but everyone will respect the amount of work your putting in and the quality you are achieving, go on you for doing what you like

Mirlock, loving your efforts. Any chance of some more pictures which are brighter and easier to see the detail? I am thinking something like that - atomic/bio-hazard/steampunk would be a good way to tackle the somewhat uninspiring JTD lump and its plastic top.

Photo's better but still does not give it justice , But what i will do is when i start another part of the engine i will take photos from start to finish and do it in a swirl pattern instead of the straight line pattern shown on it part.

the swirl would give a good smoke pattern.

But here is a couple of photos which i will more then likely change to a swirl before it gets on the car

And sorry it looks a bit dusty im a messy git

That's very creative, like it !

The handiwork and dedication of some owners is inspiring, honestly wish I could achieve something like that, looks factory upgrade standard.

Makes me wonder why the factory can't do these as high end custom options, look at how BMW painted the block on the E30 Sport evo's in the motorsport colours.
