Removing touch up paint

Hi all,

I want to get rid of some touch up paint off my bonnet that was put on by a previous owner; the colour is off and the workmanship would make a 5yr old blush but it's there, and I want it gone.

Any advice on how to get rid of it?

Thanks

Carefully with thinners.

Following my own ham fisted attempts at stone chips, I was relieved to find T-Cut Scratch Remover did the job, although it can dull the surrounding paintwork too.

Wouldn't some compound on a DA polisher remove it ?

T-cut can remove it. Maybe wet sanding can also help. Look here for tips:Paint Chip Touch-up -- /DRIVE CLEAN - YouTube

I don't have one of those; and with my track record with power tools I can only imagine I'll do more harm than good

I didn't get around to trying any of the suggestions so far, but going to give it a go tonight.

Are the thinners suggested cellulose thinners, I have some of those, but has that got disaster written all over it? Am I way off there?
