Door Card Cleaning

Morning all,

I don't think I've strayed this far across the forum before even though I've got a filing cabinet full of cleaning bits and bobs and enjoy keeping my beautiful white 159 spotless.

Question is about a different car today. I get married today (don't all laugh at once) and I have bought the wife a 147 (1.6 TS) as a wedding gift.

Being a red car it has a two-tone cream and black interior - with the carpet and bottom of the door cards being cream colour. You can see in the pictures. Now the cream colour sections have got the kind of foot hit the door shoe soul black trainer type marks on the door.

What is the best way to get these marks off? Any clues or tips welcome.

I've got the entire interior out the car at the moment as a tan leather set is going in, so finishing the door cards off will just finish it nicely.

TIA!

First of all, congratulations on getting married.

Almost any All Purpose Cleaner should be able to clean the door card. Apply APC and lightly agitate with brush or even a soft toothbrush before rinsing. Sometimes these things can take several sessions to fully clean all the marks
