Copper painted calipers

During changes of brake pads (Galfer are new) I painted brake calipers with Motip ColorWorks Copper paint spray (No. 918523). As base I used Motip ColorMatic 1K Epoxy Primer... After change of brake fluid (Tutela DOT4) I have collateral benefit: much softer clutch pedal...

Nice finish, not sure on the colour though, put on a photo of the caliper behind the wheel.

It was my main idea - different...
Brass color was serious candidate, but I didn't find color in spray... gold color was too much "decorative"...

You was suspicious because of copper color or...?
My former 147 has red painted calipers, which are completely justified for spirit of 147...

Really like it! Personaly i would have painted around the disk area in a matt black. I did it on my car as it can look rusty. Went to halforda and got some high temp stuff and its great, just painted any untreated area (obviously not the face of the disk)!

In my opinion Alfa is with very well styling performances and any additional "styling" action brings risk of "over-decoration". In that sense I am happy because of your praises.

Btw, I like combination based on contrast: black with brass (copper, gold, silver, chrome)... Brass colored calipers with black wheels or only with black disk surface, as is mentioned, would be very interesting... Something like "John Player Special" colors of historical Lotus F1 team... http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...ears_Point.jpg
