Opti Coat & Xpel

I'm thinking about buying an Alfa in color Nero 601.
It would be my first pastel Alfa (- I wish all Alfas could be had in Grigio Lipari, but that's life.) and I am being told it is "incredibly brittle paint" by those in the (top of the) detailing world.

Has anyone got experience with Ceramic coating by opti coat on this paint?
And/or clear paint protecting film such as Xpel?

Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Not used Opti-coat but the product have been around for many years. My understanding is Opti-coat can be used with paint protection films

Edit, just found this thread http://optimumforums.org/index.php?showtopic=1917 which says you can use Opti-coat on or below a film
