Paint shop in the soutwest?

Hello all,

My red GTV needs some paint and I'm wondering if anyone can recommend a decent, not too expensive paint shop in Devon. I've got a very pink bumper and the laquer is completely knacked on the mirrors, totally peeled off on the tops. I'm thinking of painting the mirrors myself to save some money, the logic being that if I'm careful anything is better than how they look at the mo.

The car only cost me £650 last year, has 52K on the clock and goes like a rocket with me grinning at the wheel! It's clean and dry underneath so I think it's worth saving, I see so many nice looking ones for sale that are being scrapped, seems a real shame so I'm determined this won't go the same way, however like most folks my pockets aren't that deep!

If anyone can recommend a paint shop that would be great.

Cheers

Hi freddy,

Try Tavistock Accident Repair Centre - they have a paint shop and a few specialist contracts for paint work.

Cheers

The biggest problem with red is matching the colour. Will the bumper not polish back?

Cheers chaps, I'll try the place in Tavy . It's faded pretty bad, I wondered I'd it would polish but I've read a lot of posts from other folks and apparently it's always beneath the laquer so no amount of polishing wi do it, short of removing the laquer itself. Bummer! Bumper needs adjusting as well as the bonnet it rubbing in it...
