Engine cleaning

I'm thinking of detailing my car's engine, but before I do I want to give it a good clean - can anyone recommend a product - I had been considering Autoglym's engine cleaner....?

Thanks

These are higly spoken of on detailing world.

AluBright Deoxidiser (500ml) RG71-500

Jet Laq 1200 Non Paint Laquer (250ml) RG75

As for degreaser I use something called mighty blue which I get from my local trade cleaning supplies for about £12 for 5 litres. Its also good for wheels door shuts etc.
I find autoglym to weak and to expensive.

Wilko's BBQ Cleaner degrease shiz like you would not believe and only £2 a bottle

I've just overhauled x2 Jag S-Type Cam Covers with it and a Steamer, properly sh tted up with gunk, and now look like new and ready for painting
