It's a shame the silver doesn't really show up the shine because you've clearly put a lot of effort in!

Looks very nice, you can clearly see the "sealant" finish, it's very glassy. Good job

Your setup sounds good. I prefer Gtechniq C2 as a qd but aquawax does the same job (by that I mean removing waterspots, not lubrication).

One alternative to the aquawax is Dodo Juice Red Mist. I've just started using it as a wax top up and it leaves a dripping wet spotless finish. You use so little for the whole car as well.

Jim, as youve used FK1000p you should certainly consider FK#1016 FinishKare #1016 - Poly-Wash & Wax Concentrate - Anti-Static as it is designed to maintain 1000p. Its sooo slick over your paint with a mitt, the best ive used. It will revive your beading when it eventually waines. Best shampoozy ive used to date and ive got about 10. Other than that FK #425 FinishKare #425 - Ultra Slick Polywipe is an awesome QD which has great anti static properties meaning the car will stay reletively dust free for a bit. Its super glossy aswell. Sometimes sticking with the same brand helps. Good thing about the #425 is you can buy the sample for 4 or a big *** gallon drum if you dont want to get the normal 1ltr jobby.
That sais i really want some Dura Gloss #951 Aquawax.
Last time i did my car i used the Werkstat Acrylic Kit which consists of Prime which is an AIO, then followed by Jett which is a spray on sealant like the GTechniq c2 which i layer leaving 30 mins between each then Glos which is a QD with a bit od sealant added for a wipedown and maintenance. After washing i top up with Jett.
Hope this helps Phil.

Ive got both but havent used the Z8 yet Jim, can i point you in the direction of a great new venture that may interest you. Its a sample company on DW. He has most DW prods but unfortunately not red mist but may have it in his next offer. Im gonna be getting some stuff. Ive bought a few samples from DW in that section, namely Megs #205 and ONR. Im gonna get some Prima bits, VP and DJ stuff.

Detailing World
Thanks Phil

I think in hindsight, because you've used a sealant then Z-8 may be better as the Red Mist is designed to work on top of waxes. Although i'm sure you wouldn't have any issues using Red Mist on top of FK1000p.

well, it's been a week and the car was covered in dust so i gave her a quick clean.
you could really tell it had some protection, the snowfoam slid straight off and the car was dry when i used an open hose to rinse.
fk shampoo
fk poly wipe

not sure about the shampoo. i wasn't sure of what ratio to dilute it. i've no idea of fl oz! i'm a ml kinda guy.
the poly wipe is good though, i'd say better than aquawax. that went on very easy and no buffing needed. it looked amazing, real wet and streak free.
