Paint Touch Up

My 156 needs a few spots done. In all these spots it has gone back to black. Is this the primer? I thought this was usually white on cars?

Just wondering what I need other than the top coat paint, if anything. It's Gabbiano Blue which is metallic.

Also I assume a pen would be better than an aerosol, as it is just a few very small areas, and a pen would be more accurate?

Thanks.

Get a small pot of paint from somewhere like paints4u and either use a toothpick or a fine artists brush, you'll get much better results this way.

I'd stick a dab of primer in there aswell as it will help the paint adhere better and therefore last a lot longer. After that it's up to you whether or not you want to wet sand the repair flat and then polish it back up. You can get some really good reults doing it this way.

P.S. paints4u paint has laquer mixed in with the colour to make life easier.

This looks quite interesting, but its a bit pricey. stone chip repair kit I would be tempted to give it a whirl if I had loads of chips.
Usually, I get an aerosol made up and use that with some fine tipped applicator. I find the consistensy of the aerosol easier to work with.

Dr. Colorchip gets some pretty rave reviews. I fully intend to give it a whirl when my red inevitably becomes chipped to hell.

OK, thanks for the replies. Will probably give Paints4U a try.
