Just had a chance today to wash and examine closely my new-to-me 2008 159 TI SW for the first time.
Used the recommended 2 buckets and microfibre 'sponge' and dried it off with a microfibre towel.
It's apparent there are some stone chips ( I can see white primer), there's some tar spots and some swirls too.
Much as I'd like to get started to sort these things out, I suspect it's too cold to start using products outside at the moment?
I've ordered some AG alloy wheel sealant ( but first need to wash, dry, remove tar, wash, dry then apply sealant).
I guess this is OK in the cold, as will be tar removal elsewhere but is it too cold to be claying, removing swirls, touching up and applying polish outdoors?
Incidentally my clay has been used on the 147 a couple of times now, should I be ditching it (the clay)?
I'm trying to balance protecting my new car against the effect of adverse product application conditions....
