Help Gilmour Foam Master II gun

I've just treated myself to one of these devices from Elite via DW but want some advice on how much ultimate snow foam / water to use and what setting to have it on

There are tons of threads over on DW so I thought I'd ask it here

Cheers,

Hi Simon,
Les uses Elite Snow Foam with the Elite Heavy Duty Professional Foam Lance 1L.
For dilution guideline he says:-

Very Dirty Car - 3 to 1 (Warm water to Snow Foam)
Generally Dirty - 5 to 1
Everyday Dirty - 10 to 1

Lance turned to 3/4 Max

But thats due to trial and error not any instructions which you realise are few and far between!

So have a play (and make notes) until you find what works for you,
wishing you a clean new year

sounds like the one i have, they are very good...

I have mine set on B on the dial on the top, i find this is the best mix for snow/water, anything heavier and i find that i can empty the container in no time at all

i fill the container with snow foam, the dial setting then defines the water/soap mix for you.

I'll see if i can find my instructions and scan then for you.

scroll to the bottom of the page and you will see a table with the mix ratios per option

fill the container with snow foam, and play about with the settings, i found dependent on how dirty it was i was either using B or C....

It took me a few attempts to really get it right, in the meantime i had fun washing the cars

If your filling the container with snow foam you must use a lot of it....... I only used about an inch then mix with water.

Dont use it anymore mind you, just a pressure washer.

I also have a £10 superspray product which gave better results. So if anyone else is thinking of something for snowfoam use with a normal water hose with good pressure, it is good.

I can get a full gilmore container to last me about 10 washes if i used it on setting B and about 7-8 on setting C

Ah I see, I'm sure I just did what was recommended by the guy from elitecarcare whan I got it.....cant remember the setting but I would empty it completly with every use, doing 2 cars.

Superspray link - Superspray The Best Hose Accessory you'll ever own can be found cheaper from other suppliers though.
