Roof lining.

After breaking my aerial going through a car wash (i know) i have just noticed that water has been getting in through the little hole left by the broken aerial and has stained the roof lining in the rear under the aerial.
How do i go about cleaning this.?
This could not of happened at a worse time as i am selling the car and the last thing i need is a potential buyer thinking the car has a leak.
Please help.
I dont want to attack it with soapy water in case i make matters worse.

Try the sainsburys brand of upholstery and carpet cleaner, cheap and effective according to Which magazine and they even rated Morning Fresh highly which I've tried and it does work!

The Hafraud upholesrty (sp) cleaner is good stuff! I use it for cleaning my hands down.
I have an old micro fibre in the shed that i soak in the stuff and them srubb my hands. Makes my hands come up like new!!!

The big problem with roof linings in general is that the material is "bonded" to the foam underlining which in turn is stuck onto a backing board. Too vigerous cleaning will cause the material to start sagging and hanging down onto your head, or those of your passengers. If this happens it is impossible to re-stick it and you will have to replace the entire unit. I therefore caution you to be most careful in "scrubbing" the stain. Wipe gently with a proprietary cleaner.
