Spring clean...Finished at last!!!

I got a megs g220 about a month ago and since then have been giving the car a serious detail! Its taken 3 weeks in total (working on a section at a time, i.e bonnet then roof etc). My main aim was to correct the paint defects, mainly swirl marks from previous owner and any light scratches.

This is what i used:

1. Megs Dual action Cleaner - For swirls/scratches
2. AG SRP to finish and fill any remaining scratches
3.Megs #16 wax to to protect.

Prior to this i clayed the car with megs clay kit.

Overall i'm happy with the paint correction. However I'm not blown away by the shine, thnk i need another stage in there, something like a glaze. I've tried megs #7show car glaze but didn'y see any improvement.

Pics aren't great. need the sun to come out!

Any suggestions welcome.

looks good, with time your find what suits you best and the time available. But i would say invest in some zaino z8 grand finale, it will really bling baby.

Seeing that you have got a G220 DA Polisher and you first used M83 to correct the light scratches and swirls I would have replaced the AG SRP step with M80 Speed Glaze applied with a finishing pad on the G220. This would give a brilliant shine. You could then finish off with the M16 Wax.

Re: Spring clean...Finished at last!!!

Thanks for the comments guys.

Springbok, I think your right about the M80. I'm thinking about adding the M80 with a finishing pad as you said and leave the SRP for the occasional hand polish. i still rate SRP, especially when applied by hand.

Paullec, is the Z8 a sealant?

Re: Spring clean...Finished at last!!!

its like a super duper sealant but more like last step spray. it will go over anything with awesome results.
