AG Extra Gloss Protection

Does anyone here use this?

I got a bottle free when I bought something else so I was wondering whether if it is worth the effort? I washed the car yesterday and was planning to AG Super Resin Polish it this afternoon, what is the best way to apply the extra gloss protection?

Yep I use it. Don't use too much or you just get a dusty car!

You do get a loverly shine

I apply it with a microfibre pad, sparingly, and leave it to dry before polishing it off with a good quality microfibre cloth.

Re: AG Extra Gloss Protection

Sounds like a plan, I will give it a go this afternoon.

I've got 10 hours of driving tomorrow and there seems to be a massive amount of crap on the roads just now. The last layer of SRP seems to be wearing thin after about a month/4 or 5 washes, how many washes should I expect the SPR + EGP to last?

Yip, i always use the gloss after polishing, gives a nice deep shine

Just buy some lint free polishing cloths.

Normaly do the polishing/gloss twice a year. (just before winter kicks in! then again at the start of summer)

Cheers

I really need to do my car. I give it a going over with the autoglym super resin polish and then a coat of extra gloss, the car looks stunning afterwards

It's good stuff. It's a wax sealant rather than a polish.

It's very good in my experience, best used in combination with Super Resin Polish. There was a massive test on detailing world and AG Extra Gloss Protection was one of the few "waxes" that lasted until the end of the test even up against far more expensive boutique products.

Re: AG Extra Gloss Protection

Here's a couple of pictures taken last summer of my old 156 after washing, clay bar, then Zymol Cleaner Wax and final top coat of Auto Glym Extra Gloss Protection.

I've bought some new products which I used at the weekend on my other car, Collinite 476 wax and Carlack 68 Nanocleaner and Sealant. Heres the finished results after removing tar, claying, nano cleaner and then coat of Collinite, plus Poorboys wheel sealant.....

Collinite should last some time, although the Zymol / AG EGP combo did last at least 5 months.

Cheers

Alan
