Teflon Wax?

While on ebay earlier I came across this, seems too good to be true so probably is! Anyone see or used it before?

Re: Teflon Wax?

I'm sure it would be a fairly decent product but claims of never wax your car again sounds like marketing bull****. I think Teflon in a wax has no appreciable benefit because it needs to bond to the substraight at very high temperatures. Personally I'd stick to a known brand like Autoglym or Turtlewax.

Re: Teflon Wax?

You could buy the Turtlewax version which include PTFE for £6.50 instead Turtle Wax Plus PTFE | Products | Auto Express

Re: Teflon Wax?

I had a spray version of that stuff which i used on your car whilst it was dirty. That may explain why spending £9.50 at the jetwash made no difference to your car, the water just repelled off leaving your car still dirty.

Seriously Jim, haven't you spent enough on car cleaning material? you are a marketeers dream.

Re: Teflon Wax?

I wouldn't touch it with a bargepole. For that price you can buy a world class acrylic sealant like Car-Lack. Anybody who claims you will "never have to wax your car again" is not to be trusted.

Ooh my 'offensive' post was removed

So the consensus is that the 'lifetime' wax goes into the same bin as the 'wonderchips?' - mebee seperate bins for recycling purposes

Re: Teflon Wax?

I bought a Holts product in a Blue bottle / silver cap which has Teflon in it. Good for the front bumper for cross European blasts
