How many 'quick details' can i do?

I've been using Meguiars Quick Detailer lately to keep my car looking spotless between washes (and it's a great product), but I was wondering how far can you go before you get the shampoo out and actually wash/dry/polish your car? I've used quick detailer all over twice now since I last properly cleaned the car and it looks pretty much immaculate - shiny and clean - but surely it will need 'stripping-down' with a wash soon?

You can use detailer as long as the surfaces become too dirty... when it gets too dirty the detailer won't "lubricate" enough and you start to get scratches...

I've been using Mothers showtime detailer once after each wash but that's because the cars in Finland tend to come more dirty pretty fast.

As a general rule (ha ha as if there is such a thing) you should wash your car every week.

QD's are fantastic I use then all the time, but the secret to a well maintained car is washing.

Cheers guys. I probably do wash the car once a week actually, but i live on quite a dusty road so it tends to get covered (especially at the back) pretty quickly, staright after a wash! The QD seems to gently remove the grime and leave the surface really glossy too. Good stuff.
