Something better than sliced bread?

For 13 I bought the Autoglym Aquawax. Its fantastic. So easy to use. You need good paintwork to begin with though I think.

Ive included pics of my GTV which was polished well to begin with and the Corsa which was very much not.

Nice job, and affordable too. Corsa finish doesn't look bad either.

Yeah great stuff, but finish does need to be quite good to start with.

Looks good although may I recommend using a quality paste wax instead of Autoglym's Aqua Wax, it is designed for car sales forecourts so the cars on display can be given a quick 'wet-look' shine, it doesn't really offer any protection.

I agree! You can buy a 5 litre trade pack called Express Wax for around £35. It's great stuff to use in between full polishes and contains carnuba wax so smells lush. Really top results in a fraction of the time

I think you are referring to the quick rinse Demon Shine type stuff AG do which is much different to Aqua / Express Wax.

Re: Something better than sliced bread?

That could be Autogloss Rinse, a spray on rinse off product that you can only buy in 5 litres. It overs very minimal protection, shine and drying aid......its usefull in winter or bad weather when its not always possible to dry a car as it helps water just sheet off the car. But I use it most of the time anyway, before towel drying with a detailing spray or aqua wax.
Aqua Wax will give much more reasonable protection and a good shine with very little effort, thats why its so good.
But no it wont beat a good paste wax.

Re: Something better than sliced bread?

Autogloss - that's the stuff Only good for a quick tart up on an already clean & waxed car.

Not to be confused with the far superior Aquawax (retail) / Express Wax (trade) product
